Things To Do In Atlanta During The Holidays
Christmas/Holiday lights your fancy? There are plenty to take in around town. In Atlanta, I already mentioned the lights at the Botanical Gardens but there is also the Holiday In Lights at Centennial Olympic Park and the Seasons of Magic at Piedmont Park. To the north-west side of town in Marietta, check out Lights of Life at Life University. North of the city in the Lake Lanier area, you can find Magical Night of Lights. To the east of town in Stone Mountain, you will find A Stone Mountain Christmas. On the south-side of town and about an hours drive from the big city is Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens.
For the kiddos, check out Legoland Discovery Center or the Atlantic Station Winter Wonderland and experience music, Santa and ice skating. Want more ice skating? Try Centennial Park and Astor Holiday Ice Skating Rink at the St-Regis in Atlanta. Want to see Santa? He'll be in town at the old Marietta Square for Santa On The Square. Experience the Drive-Thru Nativity in Smyrna too (it's free!). Macy's is having their Macy's Pink Pig at Macy's Lenox Square in Buckhead in support of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Interested in plays? Check out Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Alliance Theater at the Woodruff in Atlanta. Also in Atlanta is the Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker which is a classic! Finally, Rudolph is performing for the kids at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
That's it folks! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Here if you need us.
